He’s a very good teacher… Do you even play/know anything about the Guitar?!
Good lesson. I have been teaching the ‘ stop chord’ with my students for a while. I try to explain that it is just as important as an actual chord.

Truly enjoy the lesson sessions but you are never able to really let loose and show all your guitar skills, just little pieces. Would love to see a video where the crew of RockOnGoodPeople have full blown jam session and you truly have the chance to Rock On. Come on guys, knock my socks off…dare ya!
Excellent breakdown…
AM i in heaven or what! Even though i know this stuff i still need to learn plus with the email gifts you send me? Van Halen once did a song called Best of Both Worlds lol. Thanks Dave for your unpresident contibutions to us all. Much love man. – Best Regards- Thomas
As Dave explained at the beginning, you use the palm method with open chords. That isn’t necessary with barre chords. There, the method he explains is usually use.
I suppose you could use the palm method on barre chords too, but why not do it the easier way?
Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana is a good song to learn to help develop this technique.
Great suff, thanks for the advice it goes a long way!
